BEREA, Ohio – Both the Baldwin Wallace University men's and women's swimming and diving teams, under the direction of seventh-year Head Coach Laura Wolff-Demaline, will open up the 2017-18 season with three straight home meets.
The Yellow Jackets will play host to Ohio Wesleyan University on October 20 and Bethany (W.Va.) College on October 28 while the Ohio Athletic Conference portion of their schedule opens with a home meet against Wilmington College on October 21. All three meets will take place in the BW Natatorium.
BW will then travel to North Manchester, Indiana, to take on Manchester University on November 4 for their first conference meet on the road before two non-conference meets against Penn State-Behrend College and Hiram College on November 11 and November 17, respectively. The Yellow Jackets will then return to conference action when they travel to the University of Mount Union on November 18.
The Fredonia Winter Invitational highlights the schedule this season as it is the only invitational in which the Yellow Jackets will participate. The three-day event will take place in the Steele Hall Natatorium in Fredonia, New York, December 1-3.
A trip down to Sarasota, Florida, to take on Widener (Pa.) University on January 5 will start the 2018 portion of the schedule. BW will then finish off regular season conference action with back-to-back meets, hosting Ohio Northern University on January 19 and traveling to John Carroll University on January 20.
Franciscan University of Steubenville and the University of Pittsburgh at Bradford will then travel to Berea for a non-conference dual meet on January 27 inside the BW Natatorium.
The OAC Championships will once again be hosted by the University of Akron at Ocasek Natatorium on February 15-17.
The season will wrap up with the NCAA Division III National Championships on March 14-17 in Indianapolis, Indiana, at the IUPUI Natatorium.
