BEREA, Ohio – The Baldwin Wallace University men's basketball team returned to the D3hoops.com Top 25 Poll for the second time this season, coming in at No. 25.
BW (11-2, 5-1 Ohio Athletic Conference) received 56 points to earn the 25th spot in the sixth weekly poll. Earlier this season, the Yellow Jackets were ranked 22nd in the second weekly poll after knocking off Marietta College, ranked No. 6 at the time.
This week's poll marks the 33rd time in program history that the Yellow Jackets have been ranked in the D3hoops Top 25 poll. BW's highest-ever ranking came during the 2006-07 season when it was ranked No. 3 in the Week 13 poll.
The Yellow Jackets are currently riding a seven-game winning streak, last losing to Muskingum University on Dec. 9, 2017. During that span, BW has notched conference wins against Heidelberg University, Capital University, the University of Mount Union and Wilmington College and currently sits atop the OAC along with John Carroll University.
Whitman (Wash.) College took the top spot with 625 points and all 25 first place votes. Augustana (Ill.) comes in second with 530 points while Whitworth (Wash.) University jumped from No. 8 to No. 3 in the poll. Two fellow OAC schools also finished in the top 25 as Marietta jumped up six spots to No. 19 while John Carroll debuted in the poll for the first time this season at No. 23.
BW is back in action on Wednesday, January 10 when they host an OAC game against Ohio Northern University in the Ursprung Gymnasium at 7 p.m.
