AVON, Conn. – Senior two-time All-Ohio Athletic Conference Defender of the Year Josiah Greve (Milford) has been selected to the Intercollegiate Men's Lacrosse Coaches Association (IMLCA) NCAA Division III All-West Region team.
Greve, who was a four-time OAC first-team honoree, garners his second consecutive first-team selection. Earlier this season, he became the first BW and OAC men's lacrosse student-athlete to be named as a United States Intercollegiate Lacrosse Association (USILA)/Nike All-American when he was tabbed as an honorable mention selection. Greve was also the first Yellow Jacket to play in the USILA/Nike North-South Senior All-Star game.
This season, he caused a team-high 30 turnovers, was tied for second on the team with 42 ground balls and also scored his first goal since his freshman campaign.
For his career, Greve played in 57 games with 56 starts. He is the school-record holder in caused turnovers with 139, caused turnovers in a season with 47 and caused turnovers in a game with seven. Greve also ranks second on the all-time list in ground balls with 185.
BW finished the 2017 season with an overall record of 12-3 and a mark of 7-1 in the OAC.
