BEREA, Ohio- The Baldwin Wallace University men's soccer team has announced its 2018 season schedule.
Under 17-year Head Coach Reid Ayers, the Jackets will begin their season by competing in the annual Herb Lauffer Memorial Tournament, hosted by Penn State Behrend (Pa.) University. The team will face off against Geneseo (N.Y.) University on August 31 in their season opener and then will play the next day against Houghton (N.Y.) College at 5 p.m. in their last tournament contest of the season.
On September 4, the Jackets will take on the College of Wooster at 7 p.m. in their home opener inside George Finnie Stadium. The team will host other non-league matchups against Oberlin College and Waynesburg (Pa.) University and will travel to Manchester (Ind.) University , Anderson (Ind.) University, Allegheny (Pa.) College, University of Pitt-Bradford (Pa.) and Grove City (Pa.) College to round out non-league play.
BW will open Ohio Athletic Conference play when Capital University travels to Berea on September 29 for a 7 p.m. matchup against the Crusaders. Ohio Northern University (October 3), Heidelberg University (October 10), Wilmington University (October 20) and Marietta College (October 27) will all take on the Jackets on their home turf throughout the 2018 campaign.
The Jackets will take on the defending OAC champion Otterbein Cardinals when they travel to Westerville on October 6.
The Yellow Jackets finished the 2017 season with a 5-12-2 record and a 1-7-1 mark during league play.
