BEREA, Ohio- Under the direction of second-year head coach Jim Wojtkun, the Baldwin Wallace University women's soccer team has announced the schedule for their 2018 campaign.
The Yellow Jackets open up their season by traveling to Erie, Pennsylvania to compete in the annual Herb Lauffer Memorial Tournament hosted by Penn State Behrend College on September 1-2. In their only tournament of the season, they will take on the host Lions on Saturday, September 1 at 12 p.m. and then will compete against Thomas More (Ky.) College on September 2 at 12 p.m.
BW plays its home opener on September 8 as they host Oberlin College in a non-conference matchup slated for 12 p.m. The next two games will feature the final non-league home contests of the year against Albion (Mich.) College on September 9 and Waynesburg (Pa.) University on September 12.
Ohio Athletic Conference action opens for the Jackets on September 29 when it heads to Bexley to take on Capital University at 7 p.m. BW will host home conference matchups against Otterbein University on October 6, Muskingum University on October 13, cross-town rival John Carroll University on October 17 and a Parents' and Seniors' Day clash against the University of Mount Union on October 24.
The OAC tournament is slated to take place starting on October 30 and continue until the OAC Championship on November 3, with the winner heading to the NCAA Division III tournament with an automatic bid.
BW finished Wojtkun's first year at the helm with an overall record of 11-8-1 record and advanced to the OAC Quarterfinals after recording a 4-4-1 conference mark.
