BEREA, OHIO -- The Baldwin Wallace University women's tennis team lost to Wittenberg University, 7-2, today (Wednesday, March 11, 2009) in Hilton Head, South Carolina.
Against Wittenberg, the 0-7 overall Yellow Jackets received singles wins from sophomore number-one player Caitlyn Pecinovsky (Whitehall/ Columbus Bishop Hartley) and senior No.5 player and Academic All-Ohio Athletic Conference student-athlete Alyssa Trampert (Orchard Park, N.Y./ Orchard Park).
The Yellow Jackets conclude their annual spring break trip to Hilton Head tomorrow, Thursday, March 12 when they play a single match versus NCAA Division II the University of Charleston (S.C.) at 8:00 a.m.
The Yellow Jackets open the 2008 OAC and northern schedule on Friday, March 20 when they host Muskingum College at the "Pop" Collins Courts at 3:30 p.m. The 2009 OAC Tournament begins on April 30. The OAC Final Four is in Mason, Ohio on May 1-2 at the Lindner Family Courts.
