OBERLIN, OHIO -- The Baldwin-Wallace College women's swimming and diving teams lost at Oberlin College tonight (Friday, November 18, 2011) in the Carr Pool inside the Phillips Physical Education Center.
The Yeowomen beat the B-W women, 143-81. With its losses, the Yellow Jacket women are now 3-2 overall.
The B-W women were led by junior Kelsey Richards (Wadsworth) who won the 50-yard freestyle in 26.12 seconds. She also was a member of the first place 200-yard free relay team. In addition, sophomore Emma Gerdes (Avon) won the 100-yard backstroke in 1:03.23, sophomore Angela Musille (Canton/ GlenOak) won the 100-yard breaststroke in 1:08.73. Joining Richards on the winning 200 free relay squad were senior Danielle Miller (Van Wert), sophomore Emily Deaton (Spanaway, Wash./ Graham-Kapowsin), freshman Kayla Eyster (Canton, Mich./ Plymouth-Canton).
Following its meet at Mt. Union on Saturday afternoon, the Yellow Jackets next compete from December 1-3 at the Calvin College Invitational in Grand Rapids, Michigan. Preliminaries each day take place at 10:00 a.m. and the final for those events will be competed each evening at 6:00 p.m. The next home meet is on Friday, January 13, 2012 when B-W hosts Ohio Wesleyan University in the B-W Natatorium at 4:00 p.m.
