BEREA, Ohio – Baldwin Wallace University Head Track and Field Coach Joe Eby is pleased to announce the 2024-25 indoor and outdoor schedules.
BW opens the indoor season when it travels to Youngstown on Dec. 6 to compete in the Youngstown State University Icebreaker. The following day, the Yellow Jackets travel to Cleveland on Dec. 7 to compete in the Spartan Alumni Meet hosted by Case Western Reserve University.
As the calendar turns to 2025, BW is on the road as it travels to Geneva on Jan. 25 to compete in the SPIRE Midwest Open.
BW opens February as it hosts the annual Dr. Taraschke Team Challenge (Feb. 1) on the Harrison Dillard Track inside the Lou Higgins Center Fieldhouse. On Feb. 7, the Brown and Gold travel to Oberlin College for the Dan Kinsey Invite. On the same day and following day, the Yellow Jackets travel to Ashland for the Fourth Jud Logan Light Giver Open, hosted by Ashland University. BW later hosts its second and final meet of the indoor season on Feb. 14 with the Mid-February Meet. The following day, BW travels to Westerville to compete in the All-Ohio Indoor Championships, hosted by Otterbein University. During this weekend, select members of the men's and women's teams will travel to Boston for the David Hemery Valentine Invitational (Feb. 14-15). The indoor regular season ends on Feb. 21 when the Yellow Jackets travel to Cleveland to compete in the Ed Finnegan Greater Cleveland Colleges Invitational hosted by Case Western Reserve.
The final indoor meets consist of the Ohio Athletic Conference Championships hosted by Ohio Northern University on Feb. 28 and March 1, the Polar Bear Qualifier (Ohio Northern) and Tufts (Mass.) Qualifying Meet on March 8, and the NCAA Division III Indoor Championships on March 14 and 15 hosted by Nazareth (N.Y.) College.
The outdoor season begins on March 21 and 22 when the Yellow Jackets compete in the Amy Adams Invitational hosted by Muskingum University. BW closes out March as it travels to nearby Oberlin for the Bob Kahn Invitational (March 27-29).
April, which is the busiest month of the outdoor season, features seven road meets and one home meet. The Yellow Jackets open the month as they travel to Delaware on April 5 to compete in the Marv Frye Invitational hosted by Ohio Wesleyan University. BW then heads to Alliance on April 11 for the John Homon Open (Mount Union) and Pennsylvania on April 12 for the Bison Outdoor Classic (Bucknell [Pa.] University). BW hosts the 55th Annual Sparky Adams Invitational on April 18-19 inside the George Finnie Stadium. During the same weekend, select members of the men's and women's teams will travel to Columbus to compete in the Jesse Owens Classic, hosted by The Ohio State University. The Yellow Jackets close out April as they compete in the Walsh University Tune-Up on April 24 and the Ashland University Alumni Open on April 26.
The final month of the outdoor season consists of the OAC Outdoor Championships hosted by Wilmington College on May 1 and 2, the Harrison Dillard Twilight on May 8-9, the Augustana (Ill.) Midwest Twilight Qualifier (May 14), the Mount Union Last Chance (May 15), and the NCAA Division III Outdoor Championships hosted by the North Coast Athletic Conference on May 22, 23 and 24.
