SHELBYVILLE, Ind. – The Baldwin Wallace University men's cross country team placed 13th of 42 eligible teams as it competed in the NCAA Division III Great Lakes Regional Championships, hosted by Franklin (Ind.) College at the Blue River Cross Country Course.
In an 8-kilometer event that was composed entirely of schools within the Great Lakes Region, Calvin (Mich.) University took home the Great Lakes Regional team title with 99 points and crosstown rival John Carroll University placed second with 112 points. Therefore, Calvin (Mich.) secured the regional automatic bid to the National Championships.
The Yellow Jackets were led in the 8k by:
- Freshman Nate James (Warren / Harding) finished 66th in a time of 26:18.97
- Junior Sam Sikorski (Columbia Station / Columbia) placed 69th in a time of 26:25.61
- Freshman Will Prato (Massillon / Jackson) finished 78th in a time of 26:37.87
- Sophomore Andrew Piehler (Medina) placed 82nd in a time of 26:39.05
- Freshman Jared Robinson (Grafton / Midview) finished 89th in a time of 26:45.87
