DELAWARE, Ohio – The Baldwin Wallace University men's swimming and diving team fell to Ohio Wesleyan University in a non-conference dual meet by a final score of 127-81 in the Pfeiffer Natatorium inside the Meek Aquatics and Recreation Center.
BW (2-2) won three individual events against Ohio Wesleyan (2-1).
Individuals
- Junior freestyler Michael Gruber III (Sagamore Hills/Nordonia) won the 1000-yard freestyle in a time of 11:25.64
- Senior All-OAC freestyler Tyler Warner (Mexico, N.Y./Mexico Academy) placed second in the 200-yard freestyler in a time of 2:33.72
- Senior Academic All-OAC freestyler Kevin Meyer (Mentor) took third in the 100-yard freestyle and 200-yard freestyler and 500-yard freestyle in times of 52.89 and 2:16.71, and 5:31.68, respectively
- Freshman freestyler Xavier Hatfield (North Royalton) took second in the 50-yard freestyle in a time of 25.41
- Sophomore Danny Murphy (Herndon, Va./South Lakes) took third 200-yard individual medley and the 200-yard butterfly in times of 2:11.31 and 2:16.71, respectively
- Senior stroker Nolan Szuch (Springboro) took third in the 200-yard backstroke in a time of 2;06.37
Relays
- The 200-yard medley squad of Szuch, Warner, Murphy and sophomore freestyler Mason Carnahan (Willard) took second in 1:45.37
- The 200-yard freestyle team of freshman Malcolm Thompson (Pittsburgh, Pa./Mount Lebanon), freshman freestyler Aidan Bacon (Upper Sandusky), junior freestyler Alex Cooper (Columbus/Thomas Worthington) and Gruber took second in a time of 1:50.00
The Yellow Jackets are back in action on Friday, November 7 when they travel to Ashland for a dual meet against NCAA Division II Ashland University in Messerly Natatorium inside the Rybolt Recreation Center at 6 p.m.
