OLIVET, Mich. - The No. 18 nationally ranked Baldwin Wallace University men's volleyball team defeated the University of Olivet (Mich.) in their first Midwest Collegiate Volleyball League matchup of the season by a final score of 3-0 at Hathaway Court inside the Cutler Event Center
BW (10-6, 1-0 MCVL) opens their weekend doubleheader by sweeping Olivet (2-11, 0-1 MCVL). The Yellow Jackets limited the Comets to a -.186 hitting percentage: the Brown and Gold's best against any team this season.

- Sophomore outside hitter Daniel Latham (Westerville/Westerville Central) had nine kills and hit .429
- Senior Academic All-MCVL setter Carson Junker (Massillon/Jackson) had a team high 27 assists and four digs
- Junior Academic All-MCVL middle hitter Colby Whiteside (Powell/Olentangy Liberty) had five kills and hit .273
- Senior All-MCVL outside hitter Ted Hofmeister (Powell/Saint Charles) had nine kills, two assists and hit .538
- Sophomore Academic All-MCVL right-side hitter Jacob Esteves (Wickliffe/St. Edward) had three kills
