LONGVIEW, Texas – The Baldwin Wallace University men's golf team finished in an 11th place tie at the FST Pinecrest Invitational hosted by LeTourneau University at the Pinecrest Country Club.
BW was 11 of 12 teams with a three-round total of 992 strokes on the par-72 and 6,883 Pinecrest layout. LeTourneau was the champion with 850 strokes.
Six Scoring Players
- Senior Logan Cook (Berea/Berea-Midpark) carded rounds of 84, 79 and 81 for a three-round total of 244
- Sophomore Charlie DeCapua (Independence) shot rounds of 81, 86 and 84 for a three-round total of 251
- Freshman Payton Brown (Cranberry Township, Pa./Seneca Valley) shot rounds of 85, 90 and 89 for a three-round total of 264
- Sophomore Zach Martin (Poland/Seminary) had rounds of 96, 83 and 86 for a three-round total of 265
- Sophomore CJ Goodrich (Chardon) tallied rounds of 93, 89 and 84 for a three-round total of 266
- Senior Academic All-Ohio Athletic Conference Ryan Green (Conneaut/Edgewood) had rounds of 84 and 75 before withdrawing in the final round

- Freshman Trent Donovan (North Olmsted) tallied rounds 92, 92 and 87 for a three-round total of 271
- Sophomore Ben McCallum (Canton/Massillon Jackson) carded rounds of 90, 102 and 93 for a three-round total of 285
- Sophomore Hunter Shrefler (Middleburg Heights/Berea-Midpark) posted rounds of 99, 101 and 90 for a three-round total of 290
- Senior Brady Compton (Berea/Berea-Midpark) had rounds of 101, 109 and 101 for a three-round total of 311
The Yellow Jackets are back in action on Saturday and Sunday, March 22 and 23 when they travel to Alliance to compete in the University of Mount Union Spring Invitational at the Tannenhauf Golf Club.
