BEREA, Ohio - The Baldwin Wallace University men's volleyball team defeated Calvin (Mich.) University in a Midwest Collegiate Volleyball League match by a final score of 3-0 in Ursprung Gymnasium inside the Lou Higgins Center.
BW Leaders (17-9, 5-1 MCVL)
- Senior setter Evan Herbst (Hamburg, N.Y.) assisted a season-high 25 times and added five digs
- Junior Academic All-MCVL middle hitter Colby Whiteside (Powell/Olentangy Liberty) led the team in blocks with three and added two kills, one dig, and one assist
- Freshman libero David Abercrombie (Maricopa, Ariz.) tallied nine digs
- Senior All-MCVL middle hitter Reed Fisher (Freedom, Pa./Ambridge Area) totaled eight kills, one ace, and one block solo
- Sophomore outside hitter Daniel Latham (Westerville/Westerville Central) led the team in both kills and digs with 13 each while also serving up three aces
Calvin Leaders (7-15, 0-4 MCVL)
- Senior right-side hitter Gabriel Laughlin had a team-high eight kills with two blocks
- Freshman setter Alejandro Burns recorded seven assists
- Sophomore outside hitter Brady Gudauskas led the Knights with six digs
The Yellow Jackets are back in action Sunday, March 30 as they travel to Crawfordsville, Indiana to take on Wabash (Ind.) College in a Midwest Collegiate Volleyball League match at 3 p.m. on Chadwick Court inside the Allen Athletics and Recreation Center
