ALLIANCE, Ohio – The Baldwin Wallace University men's outdoor track and field team competed in the Walsh Tune-Up, hosted by NCAA Division II Walsh University on the campus of University of Mount Union.
The meet was unscored.
The Yellow Jackets individual events highlights included:
- Junior All-Ohio Athletic Conference distance runner Sam Sikorski (Columbia Station / Columbia) placed fifth in the 800-meter run in a time of 1:52.96.
- Freshman All-OAC sprinter/hurdler Aidan Simmons (Frederick, Md. / Walkersville) finished fifth in the 200-meter dash in a time of 22.04.
Field event highlights:
- Senior All-OAC thrower Thomas Hickman (Oxford / Talawanda) placed third in the hammer throw with a mark of 55.92 meters. Hickman also competed in the discus throw, finishing fourth with a distance of 47.92 meters.
- Sophomore thrower Kitar Olsen (Whitefish, Mont.) placed third in the shot put with a mark of 14.73 meters. Olsen also competed in the hammer throw, finishing fourth with a distance of 55.57 meters.
On the relay side:
- In the 4x400 relay crew, Sikorski, sophomore distance runner Sage Egan (Toledo / Ottawa Hills), freshman distance runner Christian Orgel (Sullivan / Black River), and freshman distance runner Isaak Keller (Seven Hills / Normandy) placed seventh in a time of 3:37.19.
BW is back in action on Saturday, April 26 for the 15th Ashland Alumni Open (hosted by NCAA Division II Ashland University).
