ALLIANCE, Ohio – The Baldwin Wallace University women's outdoor track and field team competed in the Walsh Tune-Up, hosted by NCAA Division II Walsh University on the campus of University of Mount Union.
The meet was unscored.
The Yellow Jackets individual events highlights included:
- Freshman All-Ohio Athletic Conference sprinter/hurdler Kenae Moore (Cypress, Texas / Bridgeland) won the 200-meter dash in a time of 24.91.
- Senior All-American distance runner Hope Murphy (Mogadore) won the 1500-meter run in a time of 4:33.87. Murphy also won the 5000-meter run in a time of 18:38.15.
- Junior All-OAC distance runner Charlotte Jones (Brecksville / Brecksville-Broadview Heights) finished third in the 3000-meter steeplechase in a time of 13:39.08.
Field event highlights:
- Freshman jumper Peyton Putnam (Shelby) finished third in the pole vault with a distance of 3.47 meters.
- Freshman thrower Janelle Rominger (Cambridge) placed third in the hammer throw with a mark of 48.46 meters.
On the relay side:
- In the 4x400 relay squad, Jones, junior All-OAC distance runner Katie Plecko (Rootstown), freshman distance runner Lauren Jensch (Chippewa Lake / Cloverleaf), and senior distance runner Jensen Wolfe (Somerset / Sheridan) placed seventh in a time of 4:34.30.
The Yellow Jackets are back in action on Saturday, April 26 for the 15th Ashland Alumni Open (hosted by NCAA Division II Ashland University).
