WEST LAFAYETTE, Ohio – The Baldwin Wallace University women's golf team finished in sixth place at the Ohio Athletic Conference Championships hosted by the Heidelberg University at the River Greens Golf Course.
BW was sixth of nine teams with a 72-hole total of 1,493 on the par-72 and 5,864-yard River Greens layout. The University of Mount Union was the champion with a total of 1,320.
- Junior Academic All-OAC Alana Smith (Fremont/Ross) earned her first All-OAC honors she placed ninth. Smith fired rounds of 84, 83, 86 and 89 for a championship total of 342
- Senior Academic All-OAC Brooke Newsome (Clyde) earned her first All-OAC honors as she finished tied for 12th. Newsome carded rounds of 85, 90, 89 and 83 for a four-round total of 347
- Freshman Gillian Mitchell (Pittsburg, Pa./Mount Lebanon) shot rounds of 102, 95, 101 and 91 for a three-day total of 389
- Senior Chloe Thomas (Norwalk) posted rounds of 117, 96, 105 and 105 for a championship total of 423
- Freshman Jessie Herron (Tiffin/Columbian) had rounds of 109, 110, 105 and 119 for a four-round total of 443
