Men’s Golf Places Seventh at Jimmy Hanlin Classic

PAINESVILLE, Ohio – The Baldwin Wallace University men's golf team finished in ninth place at the Jimmy Hanlin hosted by Ohio Northern University.

Sunday's first round was played at Stonewater Golf Club and Monday's second and final round was played at Little Mountain Country

BW was seventh of seven teams with a two-day total of 650.   The Yellow Jackets shot a team total of 319 on the par-71 and 6,674-yard Stonewater layout and 331 on the par-70 and 6,623-yard Little Mountain layout.  Marietta College was the champion with 596 strokes.

  • Senior Academic All-Ohio Athletic Conference Ryan Green (Conneaut/Edgewood) fired identical rounds of 77 for a two-round total of 144
  • Senior Logan Cook (Berea/Berea-Midpark) carded rounds of 79 and 81 for a two-day total of 160
  • Sophomore CJ Goodrich (Chardon) shot rounds of 81 and 85 for a two-round total of 166.
  • Freshman Payton Brown (Cranberry Township, Pa./Seneca Valley) posted rounds of 87 and 88 for a two-day total of 175
  • Sophomore Hunter Shrefler (Middleburg Heights/Berea-Midpark) had rounds of 82 and 96 for a two-round total of 178
Individual
  • Senior Brandon Eddy (Lewis Center/Olentangy Orange) posted rounds of 90 and a career-low 79 for a two-day total of 169
The Yellow Jackets close out the regular season portion of its schedule on Sunday and Monday, April 27 and 28 when they travel to Chardon to compete in the Dan Caschera Classic hosted by John Carroll University at the Sand Ridge Golf Club.

The OAC Championships hosted by Muskingum University will be contested on Friday, Saturday and Sunday, May 2, 3 and 4 at the River Greens Golf Course in West Lafayette.
