Siler Promoted to Director of Men’s and Women’s Golf

BEREA, Ohio – Baldwin Wallace University Director of Athletics and Recreation Steve Thompson has announced the promotion of Scott Siler to Director of Men's and Women's Golf.

Siler, who recently completed his first season as head men's golf coach, becomes the first coach in school history to lead both golf programs.

"Scott has quickly made a strong impact on our men's team, and we are confident he will bring the same energy and leadership to our women's program," said Thompson. "His passion for the sport and ability to connect with student-athletes make him an ideal fit for this expanded role."

In his first season, Siler mentored two Academic All-OAC honorees and his first All-OAC player, which is awarded to the Top-14 finishers at the OAC Championship.

"I'm incredibly honored and excited to lead both the men's and women's golf programs at BW," added Siler. "This is a tremendous opportunity to build a cohesive culture and provide a championship-level experience for all our student-athletes. I'm grateful to the administration for their trust and can't wait to get started."

In addition to his role at Baldwin Wallace, Siler serves as the Director of Instruction at Always Golf in Westlake, Ohio. He is a PGA Level 1 Associate.

Siler's professional experience also includes coaching and mentoring over 100 junior golfers across seven age groups as the PGA Junior League coach at Red Tail Golf Club in Avon, Ohio. His teams have achieved notable success, including back-to-back runner-up finishes at the U-17 PGA Junior League Regional Championships and a regional championship appearance in the 13U division. He has also worked as an assistant golf professional at Red Tail Golf Club (2022–2025) and Elyria Country Club (2021–2022), as well as third assistant golf professional at Barrington Golf Club in 2020, where he trained under renowned Top 100 Golf Coach Todd Cassabella. Additionally, Siler has been a certified personal golf coach with GOLFTEC.

He earned an associate degree in golf operations and management from The Golf Academy of America in 2018. A graduate of Brunswick High School, he was a two-sport athlete in golf and rugby.
