GREENWOOD, Ind.  – Two Baldwin Wallace University men's swimming and diving student-athletes have been selected to the 2026 College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-District Team.

To qualify, a student-athlete must have at least a 3.50 cumulative grade point average (on a 4.0 scale) and must have competed in four competitions or finished in the top eight at a conference meet.

Senior freestyler Kevin Meyer (Mentor) and sophomore stroker Danny Murphy (Herndon, Va./South Lakes) each earned all-district honors and now advance to the CSC Academic All-America® ballot, which will be announced on April 29, 2026.

Meyer, who garners his second career honor, carries a 3.95 grade point average in finance and accounting.   This season, he was named the Ohio Athletic Conference Swimmer of the Week on January 12 and the Yellow Jacket Men's Athlete of the Week on January 13.  Meyer set a career best time of 50.93 in the 100-yard freestyle.  Out of the pool, Meyer is a three-time Academic All-OAC honoree, Dean's List student, Jacket Scholar and a member of the Chi Alpha Sigma Honor Society.

Murphy, who earns his first career accolade, carries a 3.76 grade point average in sport management.  This season, he was the Ohio Athletic Conference Swimmer of the Week on December 22.  Murphy set career bests times of 22.81 in the 50-yard freestyle, 53.61 in the 100-yard freestyle, 5:10.63 in the 500-yard freestyle, 1:00.51 in the 100-yard breaststroke, 52.85 in the 100-yard butterfly, 1:59.01 in the 200-yard butterfly and 2:00.06 in the 200-yard individual medley.   Out of the pool, he is an Academic All-OAC honoree and a Dean's List student.

BW finished the 2025-26 season with an overall record of 4-7 and a 1-3 mark in the OAC.  The Yellow Jackets placed fourth at the 2026 OAC Championships.
