ACADEMIC MAJOR:  Pre-Physical Therapy and Athletic Training

BW ATHLETICS INFORMATION:  Alex Albright played four seasons of baseball at Baldwin Wallace University and earned four varsity letters. He had his finest season as a senior when he led BW to the Ohio Athletic Conference Championship Game and individually earned All-OAC honors.

ACADEMIC HONORS:  Alex carried a 3.39 grade point average.

BW ATHLETICS HONORS:  As a senior in 2015-2016, Alex received the BW Co-Pitcher of the Year Award (shared with Evan Lovick '18).

ALL-OAC HONORS:  As a senior in 2015-2016, Alex earned honorable mention All-OAC honors.

ALEX ALBRIGHT'S BASEBALL LEGACY:  Alex  and the BW senior class of 2016 graduates with a 111-65 record, three OAC Tournament appearances, including advancing to the OAC Championship Game twice, two NCAA Division III National Tournament appearances, including winning one Regional title (Mid-Atlantioc Region inn 2014) and one NCAA Division III College World Series appearance (2014).

ALEX'S CAREER SYNOPSIS:  Alex was a valuable four-year member of the Yellow Jacket pitching staff, including being a key member of the starting rotation as a junior and senior. Alex made 55 career appearances, including 30 starts, and compiled a 20-7 record (three off the school all-time record) with a 4.60 earned run average (ERA). He allowed 217 base hits and 120 runs (98 earned) and struck out 169 opposing batters.

ALEX'S SCHOOL-RECORD:  Alex co-owns the BW single-season career-record for starts with 12.

THROUGH-THE-YEARSAs a freshman in 2012-2013, Alex played his first season of baseball and earned his first varsity letter. He was a varsity starting pitcher. He made five total appearances, including four as a starter, and had a 2-1 record with a 8.27 earned run average (ERA). He pitched 20 and two-third innings, allowed 31 base hits, 26 runs (19 earned), struck out 15 and walked 14. Alex helped BW tie the single-season record for wins with 27 and finish 27-13 overall.

As a sophomore in 2013-2014, Alex played his second year of baseball and earned his second letter. He was one of the "aces of the pitching staff". Alex made 13 appearances, including a single-season school-record 12 starts, compiled a 5-2 record with a 4.65 ERA. He pitched 60 innings, allowed 71 base hits, 38 runs (31 earned), struck out 41 and walked 21.  BW won a school-record 30 games, compiled a 30-20 record, placed second at the Ohio Athletic Conference Tournament, won the NCAA Division III Mid-Atlantic Regional Tournament title and advanced to the school's first-ever Division III College World Series.

As a junior in 2014-2015, Alex played his third season of baseball and earned his third letter. He was utilized in relief after being a starter for his first two seasons. Alex made a team-high 20 appearances, including three starts, and compiled a team-leading six victories, a 6-1 record with a 4.58 ERA and 42 strikeouts in 39 and one-third innings pitched.  BW finished with a school-record 31 victories and a 31-12 record. The Yellow Jackets finished fourth at the OAC Tournament and advanced to their second straight NCAA Division III Regional Tournament.

As a senior in 2015-2016, Alex played his fourth season of baseball and earned his fourth letter. He was a member of the starting rotation for the second straight season. He earned honorable mention All-OAC honors and was a candidate for CoSIDA Division III Academic All-District 7 honors. Alex received the BW Co-Pitcher of the Year Award (shared with Evan Lovick '18). Alex made 17 total appearances to lead the staff, including 11 starts, and compiled a 7-3 record with one save and a 3.52 ERA. In 71 and two-third innings, he allowed 71 base hits, 33 runs (28 earned) and struck 71 opposing batters. BW finished 23-20 overall record, tied for second in the OAC with a 13-5 mark and advanced to the OAC Championship Game.

HOMETOWN & HIGH SCHOOL INFORMATION:  Alex Albright grew up in North Royalton, Ohio and graduated from North Royalton High School.

Alex played four years of baseball and lettered two times. Alex also played two years of basketball but did not earn a letter. 

In baseball as a junior, Alex was a Tay Sach's Tournament All-Coaches first-team selecetion. Following his senior season, he was named a Northeast Ohio Conference honorable mention and as a Greater Cleveland Coaches Association All-Star selection.

Academically, Alex was a Northeast Ohio Conference Scholar-Athlete award winner following his junior and senior years.
