BW ATHLETICS INFORMATION: Alex Green played four seasons of baseball at Baldwin Wallace University (2012-2015). The All-Ohio Athletic Conference outfielder earned four varsity letters and was a member of two teams that advanced to the NCAA Division III National Tournament.
ACADEMIC HONORS: Alex carried a 3.465 grade point average and was a member of the Chi Sigma Alpha Honor Society.
ATHLETIC HONORS: As a sophomore in 2012-2013, Alex earned second-team All-OAC honors. As a junior in 2013-2014, he was named to the OAC Tournament all-tournament team.
SCHOOL RECORD: As a junior in 2013-2014, Alex and four others each played in the most games in a single season (50).
GENERAL BASEBALL INFORMATION: Alex Green was a key member of the baseball team for four seasons. The All-OAC outfielder helped the Yellow Jackets compile a 115-58 record, advance to two OAC tournaments, earn two NCAA Division III National Tournament berths, including the Mid-Atlantic Regional title and the school's first-ever spot in the Div. III College World Series in 2014.
Individually, Alex played in 134 games, including 110 starts, and batted .301 (123-for-409) with 71 runs scored, 21 doubles, seven triples, two home runs, 77 runs batted-in (RBI) and 12 stolen bases. He also had a .401 slugging average and a .376 on-base average.
As a freshman in 2011-2012, Alex played his first season of baseball and earned his first varsity letter. He appeared in 24 games, including starting 13, and batted .264 (14-of-53) with 10 runs scored, three doubles, 14 runs batted-in (RBI) and stole two bases. He helped B-W win a school-record 27 games and compile a 27-13 overall record.
As a sophomore in 2012-2013, Alex played his second season of baseball and earned his second letter. He played in 36 games, including 33 starts, and split time between RF and designated hitter. He batted .361 (43-for-119) with 21 runs scored, eight doubles, three triples, one home run, 29 RBI and four steals in eight attempts. He earned second-team All-OAC honors. Alex helped BW to tie the single-season school-record for wins with 27 and compile a 27-13 overall record.
As a junior in 2013-2014, Alex played his third season of baseball and earned his third letter. He started in right field in all 50 games and batted .296 with 31 runs scored, 10 doubles, two triples, one homerun, 27 RBI and six stolen bases. He helped BW to win a single-season school-record 30 games, compile a 30-20 record, win the Division III Mid-Atlantic Regional and advance to the school's first-ever Division III World Series. He was named to the OAC Tournament all-tournament team.
As a senior in 2014-2015, Alex played his fourth season of baseball and earned his fourth letter. He played in 24 games, including 14 starts, and batted .208 (10-for-48) with nine runs scored and seven RBI. BW finished with a school-record 31 victories and a 31-12 record. The Yellow Jackets finished fourth at the OAC Tournament and advanced to their second straight NCAA Division III Regional Tournament.
