BASEBALL INFORMATION: Anthony Alioto Jr. played his third season of baseball at Baldwin Wallace University as a junior in 2013-2014 and earned his third varsity letter.
As a freshman in 2011-2012, Anthony competed in his first season of baseball and earned his first varsity letter. He appeared in eight games, all in relief, and totaled 24 innings pitched. He had a record of 1-0 and an earned run average of 2.62. In addition, Anthony tallied 13 strikeouts and earned one save on the year. He helped B-W win 27 games to go along with their 27-13 record.
As a sophomore in 2012-2013, Anthony played his second season of baseball and earned his second letter. He was a key member of the starting rotation and made seven starts and had a 4-1 record with a team-best 3.45 ERA and one complete game. Anthony recorded 30 strikeouts in 57 and one-third innings pitched. He allowed 67 base hits and 32 runs (22 earned). He helped the Yellow Jackets wins 27 games and compile a 27-13 overall record.
As a junior in 2013-2014, Anthony played in his third season of baseball at BW and earned his third varsity letter. He pitched in eight games, including five starts and had a 1-3 overall record. He pitched in 26.1 innings, struck out 17 batters, allowed 26 earned runs, had only nine walks and had a 8.89 earned run average. He helped BW to win a single-season school-record 30 games, compile a 30-20 record, win the Division III Mid-Atlantic Regional and advance to the school's first-ever Division III World Series.

HOMETOWN & HIGH SCHOOL INFORMATION: Anthony Alioto Jr. grew up in Mayfield Heights, Ohio and graduated from Mayfield High School. He played in four seasons of baseball and earned two varsity letters. He played football for three seasons and golf for one and eanred one varsity letter in each sport. Anthony also played one season of basketball, but did not earn a varsity letter.
In baseball in 2010, Anthony was a member of the All-Sun East team as well as a the team captain for Mayfield H.S. As a senior, Anthony compiled a 7-1 pitching record with a 2.10 earned run average.
