ACADEMIC MAJOR: Exercise Science
BASEBALL INFORMATION: Brian Taricska played his first season of baseball at Baldwin Wallace University in the spring of 2013. He transferred to BW in the fall of 2012 after playing the 2010 season at NCAA Division I Kent State University. He sat out the 2011 season due to injury and restarted his academic career at Cuyahoga Community College in 2012.
As a junior in 2012-2013, Brian earned his first varsity letter at BW and was a member of the starting pitching rotation. He appeared in six games, started three, compiled a 0-0 record with an 8.53 earned run average and eight strikeouts in 12 and two-third innings pitched. Brian helped the Yellow Jackets tie the single-season school-record for wins with 27 and compile a 27-13 overall record.
As a senior in 2013-2014, Brian played in his second season of baseball and started in three games. He pitched 10 and one-third innings, allowed eight runs, struck out 15, had a 6.97 ERA, and a 1-0 record. He helped BW set a single-season school-record with 30 wins, compile a 30-20 record, win its first-ever NCAA Division III National Tournament Mid-Atlantic Regional title and advance to the school's first-ever World Series.

HIGH SCHOOL INFORMATION: Brian Taricska grew up in Bay Village, Ohio and graduated from Bay High School. He played four years of baseball and lettered two times. Brian also earned three varisty letters in golf and two in basketball.
In baseball as a junior and senior, Brian was named as a first team All-West Shore Conference and All-District performer. In golf as a junior, he was a named a second team All-WSC selection.
