BASEBALL INFORMATION : Chaz McGrain is a senior transfer from Ashland University who played his second season of baseball at Baldwin Wallace University in 2013-2014. He earned his second varsity letter
As a junior in 2012-2013, Chaz played his first season of baseball at BW and earned his first varsity letter. He alternated at catcher with Joe Hiller '13. Chaz appeared in 25 games, including 21 starts, and batted .195 (14-for-73) with 12 runs scored, one double, one triple, one home run, 12 runs batted-in (RBI) and four stolen bases in six attempts. Defensively, Chaz had a .985 fielding average (two errors in 134 total chances) and threw out 12 of 40 base stealers (30 percent efficiency). He helped the Yellow Jackets tie the single-season school-record for wins with 27 and compile a 27-13 overall record.
As a senior in 2013-2014, Chaz played in his second season of baseball and earned his second varsity letter. He appeared in 21 games, including 16 starts behind the plate. Chaz scored six runs, 10 hits, two doubles, five RBI, and a .200 batting average. Chaz also had a .963 fielding percentage. He helped BW to win a single-season school-record 30 games, compile a 30-20 record, win the Division III Mid-Atlantic Regional and advance to the school's first-ever Division III World Series.

HIGH SCHOOL INFORMATION: Chaz McGrain grew up in Valley City, Ohio and graduated from Olmsted Falls High School. He played four years of baseball and lettered three times. Chaz also wrestled for four years and earned four varsity letters.
In baseball as a junior, Chaz was named as an All-Southwestern Conference performer. As a senior, he was selected as a Mizuno All-Ohio, All-Sun Newspapers and once again All-SWC catcher.
Academically, Chaz was an Academic All-Ohio wrestler and was member of National Honor Society.
