ACADEMIC MAJOR: Accounting and Finance

BW ATHLETICS INFORMATION:  Chuck Jones played four years of baseball at Baldwin Wallace University (2011-2015). He earned one varsity letter and had his best season as a collegian as a senior.

GENERAL BASEBALL INFORMATION:  Chuck was a four-year member of the baseball program and earned one letter. Hesplit time between the varsity and JV teams as a freshman and sophomore and was a key varsity reliever as a senior. He helped the Yellow Jackets compile a 115-58 record with two NCAA Division III Tournament berths, one Regional title and BW's first-ever appearance in the Div. III College World Series in 2014.

Individually, Chuck appeared in 16 varsity games and compiled a 0-0 record with a fine, 2.49 earned run average (ERA) and 26 strikeouts in 24 and two-third innings pitched. He led BW in ERA as a senior.

As a freshman in 2011-2012, Chuck played his first season of baseball and earned a certificate of participation. In varsity action, Chuck appeared twice and totaled two innings pitched with an earned run average of 4.50 and allowed one earned run with one strike out. BW set a single-season school-record 27 wins and finished 27-13 overall.

As a sophomore in 2012-2013, Chuck played in his second season of baseball and saw playing time on both junior varsity and varsity squads. He earned his second certificate of participation. In varsity action, he appeared in one game and had one inning pitched with a 0.00 ERA and two strikeouts. BW tied the single-season record for wins with 27 and finished 27-13 overall.

As a junior in 2013-2014, Chuck played in his third season of baseball and saw playing time on the junior varsity squad. He earned his third certificate of participation. The BW varsity set a single-season school-record with 30 victories, compiled a 30-20 overall record, placed second in the 2014 Ohio Athletic Conference Tournament, won the NCAA Division III Mid-Atlantic Regional and advanced to its first-ever Division III College World Series.

As a sophomore in 2014-2015, Chuck played his fourth season of baseball and earned his first varisty letter. He appeared in 13 contests, all in relief, and compiled a 0-0 record with a team-leading 2.49 ERA with 23 strikeouts in 21 and two-third innings. BW finished with a school-record 31 victories and a 31-12 record. The Yellow Jackets finished fourth at the OAC Tournament and advanced to their second straight NCAA Division III Regional Tournament.

HOMETOWN & HIGH SCHOOL INFORMATION: Chuck Jones grew up in Kettering, Ohio and graduated from Fairmont High School.

Chuck played four years of baseball and earned three varsity letters. He also played four years of basketball and earned two letters.

In baseball, Charlie was named second-team All-Greater Western Ohio Conference (Central Division) as a pitcher. He also was named as the Sherm Bowser Award winner, which is given to the top male student-athlete at Fairmont.
