BW ATHLETICS INFORMATION: Connor Murphy played four seasons of baseball at Baldwin Wallace University and earned three varsity letters. He was a key pitcher for the Yellow Jackets who had his finest season as a collegian as a senior.

MURPHY'S BASEBALL LEGACY:  Connor  and the BW senior class of 2016 graduates with a 111-65 record, three OAC Tournament appearances, including advancing to the OAC Championship Game twice, two NCAA Division III National Tournament appearances, including winning one Regional title (Mid-Atlantioc Region inn 2014) and one NCAA Division III College World Series appearance (2014).

CAREER SYNOPSIS:  Connor had a solid career as a pitcher and both started and relieved. He appeared in 41 career contests, including six starts, and compiled a 3-5 career record with one save and a fine, 3.10 earned run average (ERA) in 87 innings pitched. Connor allowed 100 base hits, 52 runs (30 earned), struck out 45 opposing batters and walked 24.

THROUGH-THE-YEARS:  As a freshman in 2012-2013, Connor played his first season of baseball and earned a certificate of participation.  He split time between the varsity and junior varsity teams as a pitcher. Connor appeared in two varsity games and pitched one and one-third scoreless innings. BW tied the single-season school-record for wins with 27 and finished 27-13 overall.

As a sophomore in 2013-2014, Connor played his second season of baseball and earned his first varsity letter. He appeared in seven varsity games, all in relief, and had a 1-0 record with a 3.55 earned run average and four strikeouts in 12 and two-third innings pitched. Connor helped BW set a single-season school-record with 30 wins, compile a 30-20 record, place second at the Ohio Athletic Conference Tournament, win the NCAA Division III Mid-Atlantic Regional Tournament title and advance to the school's first-ever Division III College World Series.

As a junior in 2014-2015, Connor played his third season of baseball and earned his second letter. He was one of the team's top relief pitchers. Connor appeared in 17 contests, including two starts, and compiled a 2-0 record with one save and a 3.72 ERA and 22 strikeouts in 36 and two-third innings pitched. BW finished with a school-record 31 victories and a 31-12 record. The Yellow Jackets finished fourth at the OAC Tournament and advanced to their second straight NCAA Division III Regional Tournament.

As a senior in 2015-2016, Connor played his fourth season of baseball and earned his third letter. He had his finest season as a collegian. Connor pitched in 15 contests, including a career-high four starts, and compiled a 0-5 record with a career-low 2.45 ERA. He pitched 36 and two-thir innings, allowed 41 base hits, 25 runs (10 earned), struck out 19 and walked 11.  His 15 appearances tied for third on the team and his ERA ranked second. BW finished 23-20 overall record, tied for second in the OAC with a 13-5 mark and advanced to the OAC Championship Game.

HOMETOWN & HIGH SCHOOL INFORMATION: Connor Murphy grew up in Westford, Massachusetts and graduated from Northeast High School.

Connor played soccer, hockey and baseball. He earned three letters in hockey, two in baseball and one in soccer.
