ACADEMIC MAJOR: Special Education
BASEBALL INFORMATION: Ethan has four seasons in the Brown & Gold and helped BW post an overall record of 101-63. During his freshman, sophomore and junior seasons, Ethan saw the majoity of his playing time on the junior varsity squad. For his career, Ethan appeared in eight varsity game as a pinch hitter and had one hit, one RBI, and five runs scored. He earned his first varsity letter as a senior in 2013-2014.
As a freshman in 2011, Ethan played in his first season of baseball and earned his first certificate of participation. He started at first base on junior varsity and dressed for some varsity games. He appeared in one varsity game as a pinch hitter, but did not record a hit. B-W finished the season 17-17.
As a sophomore in 2012, Ethan played in his second season of baseball and saw time on the junior varsity team. For his efforts, he earned his second certificate of participation.
As a junior in 2013, Ethan played in his third season of baseball and saw time on the junior varsity team. For his efforts, he earned his third certificate of participation.
As a senior in in 2013-14, Ethan played in his fourth season of baseball and earned his first varsity letter. He appeared in seven games and had one hit, one RBI, and five runs scored. He helped BW set a single-season school-record with 30 wins, compile a 30-20 record, win its first-ever NCAA Division III National Tournament Mid-Atlantic Regional title and advance to the school's first-ever World Series.

HOMETOWN & HIGH SCHOOL INFORMATION: Ethan Shrake grew up in Canton, Ohio and graduated from Canton McKinley High School. Ethan played baseball for four years and earned two varsity letters. He ran cross country for four years and earned four varsity letters. Ethan also was on the swimming & diving team for four years, and he earned three varsity letters.
In baseball as a senior, Ethan was a team captain and won the Bill Erlitz and Neinenger Awards for his outstanding efforts, on and off the field. Ethan was also selected to participate in the North vs. South All-Star Game following his senior season. In swimming & diving as a junior, Ethan won the Bill Erlitz Award. In cross country, Ethan recieved the Bulldog Award as a sophomore, the Bill Erlitz Award as a junior, and the Coach's award as a senior. Ethan was also a team captain as a senior.
