ACADEMIC MAJOR: History
BASEBALL INFORMATION: Luke Ackerman played in his third season of baseball at Baldwin Wallace University and has earned one varsity letter.
As a freshman in 2011-2012, Luke played his first season of baseball and earned a varsity letter. As a relief pitcher, he appeared in three games. He pitched two innings, allowed one base hit and two earned runs. BW finished with 27 victories and a 27-13 overall record.
As a sophomore in 2012-2013, Luke played his second season of baseball and received a Certificate of Participation. He served as a pitcher on the junior varsity team. BW won 27 games and compiled a 27-13 overall mark.
As a junior in 2013-2014, Luke played his third season of baseball and earned a Certificate of Participation. He was a pitcher on the varsity team. Luke made four appearances, all in relief, and had a 0-0 record with a 10.12 earned run average. He pitched five and one-third innings, allowed nine base hits, seven runs (six earned), struck out four and walked two. BW won a school-record 30 games, compiled a 30-20 record, won the NCAA Division III Mid-Atlantic Regional title and advanced to the school's first-ever Division III College World Series.
GENERAL FOOTBALL INFORMATION: As a freshman in 2011-2012, Luke played his first season of football and received a Certificate of Participation. He saw action on the Junior Varsity team as a fullback. BW finished 8-2 overall.
He did not play football as a sophomore.

HIGH SCHOOL INFORMATION: Luke Ackerman grew up in Sheffield Lake, Ohio and graduated from Brookside High School. He played four years of football and baseball and earned three varsity letters in each sport. He also played four years of basketball and earned two letters.
In football as a junior, Luke was a first-team All-Patriot Athletic Conference, first-team All-Lorain County and honorable mention All-District performer. As a senior, Luke was named as a first-team All-PAC, All-County, All-District and All-Ohio.
In baseball, Luke earned first-team All-PAC following junior and senior seasons. He also was tabbed first-team All-County as as senior.
