ACADEMIC MAJOR: Athletic Training/ Exercise Science
BW ATHLETICS INFORMATION: Matt Smith played his first season of baseball at Baldwin Wallace University in 2014-2015. He received a certificate of participation.
GENERAL BASEBALL INFORMATION: As a freshman in 2014-2015, Matt played his first season of baseball and received a certificate of participation. He saw playing time as an outfielder on the junior varsity team. BW finished with a school-record 31 victories and a 31-12 record. The Yellow Jackets finished fourth at the OAC Tournament and advanced to their second straight NCAA Division III Regional Tournament.
As a sophomore in 2015-2016, Matt is playing his second season of baseball and hopes to earn his first varsity letter.

HOMETOWN & HIGH SCHOOL INFORMATION: Matt Smith grew up in Lewis Center, Ohio and graduated from Olentangy Orange High School.
Matt played four years of baseball and earned four varsity letters.
Matt was a second-team All-Ohio Capital Conference pick and was the O.O.H.S. Baseball Player Award winner.
Academically, Matt received an academic scholarship.
