Mason Kooyman '24 enters his first season as a graduate assistant swimming and diving coach at Baldwin Wallace University in 2024-25.
Kooyman returns to the swimming and diving programs after earning a Bachelor of Arts in sport management in May 2024.
While at BW, he was a four-year letterwinner on the men’s swimming and diving team. Kooyman was a two-time Academic All-Ohio Athletic Conference honoree, College Sports Communicators Academic All-District selection and OAC Men's Swimmer of the Week Award winner. He is the school record holder in 100-yard freestyle and is a member of the school record holding 200-yard freestyle, 400-yard freestyle and 400-yard medley relay teams. Kooyman was also earned two varsity letters an Academic All-OAC selection as member of the track and field team.
Out of the pool and off the track, he was a Dean’s List student, Dean's list student, Jacket Scholar and a member of the Chi Alpha Sigma Honor Society.
Kooyman is pursuing a master’s degree in business analytics
