ACADEMIC MAJOR:   Psychology

BALDWIN WALLACE ATHLETICS INFORMATION:  Whitney Yoder completed a solid four-year women's tennis career at Baldwin Wallace University in the spring of 2014. Highlighting her career was being named as a two-time Academic All-Ohio Athletic Conference player.

ACADEMIC HONORS:  Whitney is an outstanding student-athlete who carries a better than 3.77 grade point average. The two-time Academic All-OAC selection was named as an ITA (Intercollegiate Tennis Association) Scholar-Athlete and as a Jacket Scholar.  At the 2011-12 BW Honors Day Awards Ceremony, she received the Pitcher Psychology Award. In 2012-2013, Whitney was inducted into the Chi Alpha Sigma Athletics Honor Society.

GENERAL TENNIS INFORMATION:  As a freshman in 2010-2011, Whitney played in her first season of tennis and earned her first varsity letter.  She saw limited action and posted a 1-2 singles and 2-3 doubles record. B-W compiled an 18-8 overall record, finished second during the Ohio Athletic Conference regular season (8-1), won the OAC Tournament title and qualified for their fourth NCAA Division III National Tournament appearance in the last five years. 

As a sophomore in 2011-2012, Whitney played in her second season of tennis and earned her second letter. She started in both singles and doubles. Whitney mostly played No.5 singles and No. 2 doubles. She compiled a 5-20 singles and 7-18 doubles record. BW finished 9-14 overall.

As a junior in 2012-2013, Whitney played in her third season of tennis and earned her third letter. She played in seven singles matches and had a record of 5-2. She also compiled a 12-11 record in doubles play. For her efforts in the clasroom and on the court, she earned Academic All-OAC honors and was an ITA Scholar-Athlete award winner. BW finished 11-10 overall.

As a senior in 2013-2014. Whitney played her fourth season of tennis and earned her fourth letter. She split time between No.5 and No.6 singles and compiled an 8-11 record. She also played third doubles with freshman Claire Watts and compiled a 7-10 mark. Whitney earned her second straight Academic All-OAC honor. BW finished 7-16 overall.

HOMETOWN & HIGH SCHOOL INFORMATION:  Whitney Yoder grew up in Medina, Ohio and graduated from Medina High School. She played tennis for four years and earned four varsity letters. Whitney received All-Medina County honors in 2007 and 2009. She also received All-County Honorable Mention in 2006 and 2008. Whitney received the Scholar Athlete Award all four years.

Academically, Whitney graduated with Honors and was a member of the National Honor Society.
