Rylee Gorrell is entering her first year as the Lead Student Assistant for Creative Content in 2026-27 and her second year overall working with the Baldwin Wallace University Athletic Communications department.
At Baldwin Wallace, Gorrell has gained experience in photography, videography, social media and digital content creation. As the Lead Student Assistant for Creative Content, she will help lead the development and execution of the department's creative strategy while producing photography, video and social media content for the Yellow Jackets. She will also serve as a resource and mentor for student assistants interested in gaining experience in creative content.
In addition to her work with Yellow Jacket Athletics, Gorrell recently completed an internship as a Social Media Marketing & Growth Associate with Eventio, an early-stage startup. Working directly with the company's Founder and CEO, she helped build the brand's presence across Instagram, Facebook and LinkedIn through content creation, marketing campaigns and community engagement. She also tracked engagement metrics to evaluate content performance and contributed to the development of the company's brand voice and digital strategy.
Gorrell has also gained additional experience through her work with the Baldwin Wallace men's and women's track and field programs, traveling with the team as a photographer and social media content creator. She has produced video content centered around Yellow Jacket student-athletes, including a short documentary featuring men's track and field student-athlete, Amari Waddy.
A native of Grove City, Pennsylvania, Gorrell is a Media Production major at Baldwin Wallace and is expected to graduate in 2027. She is also a member of the Yellow Jacket women's track and field team, competing in the high jump. Gorrell is a two-time Academic All-Ohio Athletic Conference selection, has earned All-Ohio Athletic Conference honors in the high jump, and has received U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) All-Great Lakes Region recognition.
