BEREA, Ohio -- The Baldwin Wallace University volleyball team won an Ohio Athletic Conference match in three-sets against Marietta College in Ban Johnson Arena.
BW (19-4, 2-1 OAC) defeated Marietta (8-12, 1-2 OAC) by scores of 25-22, 27-25 and 25-23
Freshman outside hitter and OAC kill leader
Alicia Lortcher (Norwalk) sparked the offense with 12 kills.
Lortcher has an OAC leading 292 kills. Junior middle hitter
Nikolette Scruggs (Barberton) tallied 11 kills. Freshman outside hitter
Morgan Thomas (Northfield/Nordonia) contributed nine kills and freshman middle hitter
Lauren Gehring (Wadsworth/Norton) added six.

Ashley Nuding (Perrysburg /Springfield) set up the offense with a match-high 35 assists.
Nuding leads the OAC and is fifth in NCAA Division III in assists with 841.
Lortcher anchored the defense with a career and match-high 23 digs. Freshman defensive specialist Brittany Miner (Canton/Massillon Perry), who is second in the OAC with 397 digs, contributed 19. Nuding and sophomore defensive specialist Emily Daveant (North Ridgeville) added seven digs each.
