BEREA, Ohio—The Baldwin Wallace University men's soccer team won its first Ohio Athletic Conference game against Muskingum University, 2-1 in overtime, Saturday afternoon on Tressel Field inside of George Finnie Stadium.
The Yellow Jackets (3-6-2, 1-0 OAC) outshot Muskingum (3-6, 0-1 OAC) 11-0 in the first have, but could not get a shot past the Fighting Muskies goalkeeper.
BW finally broke through in the 47th minute when freshman defender JT Taubeneck (Cleveland/Normandy) headed in a corner kick from freshman midfielder Garrett McCue (Bourbonnais, Ill.). The goal was Taubeneck's first of the season.
Muskingum evened the score in the 76th minute when C. Michael Hilliard scored an impressive unassisted goal.
The Fighting Muskies and the Yellow Jackets could not take advantage of some good opportunities in the last 14 minutes of regulation, and the game went into overtime.

Logan Davis (Hinckley/Medina) headed in the game-winning goal with three minutes left in the first overtime.
Senior goalkeeper
Zach Haynes (Medina) earned his fourth win of the season for BW.
The Yellow Jackets next game is on Tuesday, October 6 when they travel to Tiffin, Ohio to face off against Heidelberg University at the Hidden Valley Soccer Complex at 7 p.m.
