BEREA, Ohio - Baldwin Wallace University women's basketball team dropped their home-and-home finale against John Carroll University on Saturday night, falling 62-39.
With the loss, the Yellow Jackets (3-3, 3-3 Ohio Athletic Conference) suffered their third straight defeat. The Blue Streaks (6-0, 6-0 OAC) improved their all-time series deficit, as the Yellow Jackets now lead the series 58-28.

Lilly Edwards (Dublin/Coffman) led all Yellow Jackets scorers with 10 points. She secured her fourth straight double digit scoring game, while also recording five rebounds and a steal. John Carroll's Nicole Heffington led all scorers with 17 points and eight rebounds.
Much like the night before, the Yellow Jackets and Blue Streaks fought a defensive battle in the first quarter, with both sides shooting under 30% from the field.
Sydney Snyder (Kirtland) led the way for BW, tallying four points to lead a diversified offensive attack and helped the Yellow Jackets jump out to an 11-10 lead after one.
The Blue Streaks had an answer in the second quarter, beginning it on a 10-2 run. The hot shooting continued for John Carroll the entire quarter, as they shot 40% from the field. Edwards delivered some key points for the Yellow Jackets to keep them close, but the Yellow Jackets trailed 26-19 at the half.
Much like the second quarter, the Yellow Jackets faced an early run from the Blue Streaks, as they came out on a 7-0 run. However, the shooting dried up for BW with Edwards and Snyder tallying the lone points and the Yellow Jackets trailed 44-23 after three.
The Blue Streaks pulled away in the fourth, keeping their strong shooting performance intact. Freshman guard
Carolyn Wochele (Mentor) was a significant brightspot for the Yellow Jackets in the fourth, setting a single-game career-high with five points, as well as one rebound and a steal. Her performance aided the best offensive quarter for the Yellow Jackets tonight, notching 16 points.
The Yellow Jackets will return to action on Friday, February 12 and begin a home-and-home series against Capital University. The Jackets will get started on the road, tipping off at 7:00 p.m.
