BEREA, Ohio - The Baldwin Wallace University women's volleyball team defeated Ohio Athletic Conference rival John Carroll University by a score of 3-1 in Ursprung Gymnasium inside the Lou Higgins Center.
BW Leaders (9-9, 2-2 OAC)
- Junior outside hitter Sam Rueda (Aurora, Ill./Metea Valley) had a career-high 19 kills while also adding 14 digs
- Senior Academic All-Ohio Athletic Conference middle hitter Isa Luciano (Willoughby/South) and sophomore outside hitter Gabby Schlecht (Naperville, Ill./North) each recorded four blocks
- Senior All-OAC setter Olivia Zawadzki (Hilliard/Darby) and sophomore setter Katarina Blazetic (DeLand, Fla.) each talllied 22 assists
- Sophomore middle hitter Maleia Thurber (Temecula, Calif./Chaparral) totaled nine kills and two blocks
- Senior All-OAC libero Lauren Gardner (Avon/Saint Joseph Academy) added 22 digs
John Carroll Leaders (13-7, 2-2 OAC)
- Senior right-side hitter Jennifer Follmer led the Blue Streaks with 10 kills
- Senior setter Maddie Maziarz recorded a game-high 25 assists
- Junior outside hitter Marissa Lynch and junior middle hitter Jessica Liddle each added eight kills
