Today's Contest
Today is the eighth game of the 2024 season, the fourth home contest, and the seventh Ohio Athletic Conference game for the Baldwin Wallace University football team as it hosts an Ohio Athletic Conference game against Muskingum University. The Yellow Jackets fell to Marietta College by a final score of 47-7 last Saturday in Marietta.  Muskingum fell to Heidelberg University defeated by a final score of 52-24 in Tiffin last Saturday.

The Series
BW and Muskingum are meeting for the 67th time on the gridiron. The Yellow Jackets hold a 51-13-2 all-time series lead, including winning 16 of the last 18 contests. In the last 18 meetings, BW has outscored the Fighting Muskies by a margin of 566-279. The series began in 1917 when Muskingum defeated the Yellow Jackets, 25-7, in New Concord.

BW Head Coach Jim Hilvert
Hilvert is in his eighth  season at BW and has a record of 46-23 and Ohio Athletic Conference slate of 40-21. He is 113-49 in his 16th overall season. Hilvert is 7-0 all-time against Muskingum.

Ieuter is in his seventh season at Muskingum and has a record of 22-28 and an OAC mark of 17-28. He is 0-6 against Baldwin Wallace     

Last Game vs. Muskingum - October 14, 2023
BW scored 34 points on 209 yards passing and 104 yards rushing for 313 total yards.  Muskingum scored 22 points on 239 yards passing and 119 yards rushing for 358 total yards.

Scouting the Yellow Jackets
In week seven of the season, BW scored seven points on 98 yards passing and 94 yards rushing for 192 total yards.  Marietta scored 47 points on 363 yards passing and 128 yards rushing for 491 total yards.

BW Leaders
Offensively, sophomore quarterback Charlie Bubonics (Solon) has completed 153-of-214 passes for an OAC fourth best 1,497 yards with OAC third best 17 touchdowns. Bubonics also is second in the league with a .715 completion percentage.  Sophomore running back George Linberger (Barberton/St. Vincent-St. Mary) leads the ground game with 317 yards on 75 carries with one touchdown.  Junior wideout Tim Conwell (Avon) has caught an OAC fourth best tying 32 passes for 405 yards with an OAC third best tying six touchdowns. Defensively, junior linebacker Dom Tromba (Painesville/Riverside) leads the team with and OAC 10th best tying 40 tackles.

Scouting the Fighting Muskies
In week of the seven of the season, Muskingum scored 24 points on 296 yards passing and 73 yards rushing for 369 total yards.   Heidelberg scored 52 points on 248 yards passing and 225 yards rushing for 473 total yards.

Muskingum Leaders
Offensively, sophomore quarterback Cavan Cooper has completed 88-of-141 passes for an OAC seventh best 1,043 yards and seven touchdowns. Junior running back Chandler Ross leads the rushing attack with 214 yards on 45 carries with one touchdown. Davion Grant leads the receiving corps as he has caught  47 passes for 812 yards with an OAC third best tying six touchdowns.  Defensively, junior linebacker Martavious Johnson leads the team with an OAC sixth best 52 tackles.

Seniors' Day
The Baldwin Wallace football team along with the cheer team and marching band will hold its Seniors' Day on November 9 against Ohio Northern University.  Senior football student-athletes will be honored pregame with senior members of cheer and marching band being recognized at halftime.
