BEREA, Ohio – The Baldwin Wallace University women's soccer team fell to Capital University in its Ohio Athletic Conference opening game by a final score of 2-1 on the Tressel Field inside the George Finnie Stadium.
BW Leaders (5-7, 0-1 OAC)
- Senior defender Ella Barth (Highland / Mayfield) scored the first goal of the game at the 34:31 mark of the first half
- Sophomore All-OAC defender Ella James (Loveland) assisted Barth's goal
Capital Leaders (3-6-1, 1-0 OAC)
- Senior forward Grace Estes scored the Comets' first goal (unassisted) at the 46:25 mark of the second half
- Senior midfielder Nicole Ogden scored the game-winning goal at the 61:56 mark of the second half, assisted by junior defender Taylor Marcum

- Capital had the most saves with six
- The Yellow Jackets tied the Comets with three corner kicks

- BW and Capital each made two corner kicks

The Yellow Jackets are back in action on Wednesday, Oct. 9 for a home matchup in an OAC contest against Ohio Northern University. The game is set to begin at 7 p.m. on the Tressel Field inside of George Finnie Stadium.
