BEREA, Ohio – The Baldwin Wallace University men's basketball team fell to No. 1 Trine (Ind.) University in a non-conference game by a final score of 78-49 in the Ursprung Gymnasium inside of the Lou Higgins Center.
BW Leaders (1-2)
- Sophomore forward AJ Pestello (Cuyahoga Falls / Stow-Munroe Falls) led the way with a team-high 13 points and six rebounds
- Junior All-Ohio Athletic Conference guard Ray Ellington (Westlake) scored nine points and made five rebounds
Trine Leaders (3-0)
- Senior guard Drew Moore scored a team-high 18 points
- Sophomore guard Jayce Cusack notched 12 points, six rebounds and two assists
First Half
- Trine outscored BW 39-22
- The Thunder had the most rebounds with 22
- Trine won the three-pointer battle by a 2-1 margin
Second Half
- The Yellow Jackets were outscored by the Thunder 39-27
- BW tied Trine with two three-pointers
- Trine had the most rebounds with 19
The Yellow Jackets are back in action on Wednesday, Nov. 20 as they're on the road for a non-conference game against Geneva (Pa.) College. The game is set to begin at 7:30 p.m. inside of Metheny Fieldhouse.
