BEREA, Ohio – The Baldwin Wallace University football team defeated Muskingum University in an Ohio Athletic Conference game by a final score of 54-17 on the Tressel Field inside the George Finnie Stadium.

BW (5-3, 4-3 OAC) improved to 52-13-2 in the all-time series with Muskingum (4-4, 3-4 OAC).  The Yellow Jackets now have won 17 of the last 19 meetings, including outscoring the Fighting Muskies by a margin of 620-296.

Offensively for BW, sophomore quarterback Charlie Bubonics (Solon) completed 26-of-30 passes for 292 yards with a career-high five touchdowns.   Sophomore running back Tyrone Singleton (Willoughby/South) rushed for 59 yards on 12 carries. Senior wide receiver Vinny Lomeo (East Amherst, N.Y./St. Joseph's Collegiate Institute) caught 10 passes for 90 yards with one touchdown. Defensively, senior defensive back Alden Steele (Lorain/Amherst) recorded a career-best 11 tackles and forced a career-best three fumbles.

Offensively for Muskingum, junior quarterback Garrett Gurney completed 21-of-28 passes for 142 yards.  Junior running back Elijah Slagle rushed for 26 yards on six carries with a touchdown. Sophomore wide out Davion Grant caught eight passes for 105 yards with a touchdown. Defensively, junior linebacker Martavious Johnson tallied a game-high 17 tackles.
