No. 15 Men’s Wrestling Wins BW Invitational for Fourth Straight Year

BEREA, Ohio – For the fourth straight season, the No. 15 nationally ranked Baldwin Wallace University men's wrestling team won the annual BW Invitational in the Lou Higgins Center Fieldhouse.
 
BW was champion of 12 teams with 187.5 points.   The Yellow Jackets had 15 wrestlers finish in the top eight, including five champions and four runner-ups.
 
Freshman 125-pounder Dorian Hoffmann (Luzerne, Pa./Wyoming Valley) - Champion
  • Won by pinfall in 1:27 over Levi Hamman of Trine (Ind.)
  • Won a 9-6 decision over Mason Jones of Manchester (Ind.)
  • Won by pinfall in 4:03 over Edward McCarthy of Thiel (Pa.)
  • Won an 8-2 decision over Edward Alizio of Case Western Reserve 
  • Won by pinfall in 3:57 over Caiden Harbert of NCAA Division II West Liberty (W. Va.)
Junior 149-pounder Manny Scordos (Brecksville/Brecksville-Broadview Heights) - Champion
  • Won an 18-3 technical fall over Gabe Whittington of Delaware Valley (Pa.)
  • Won a 7-0 decision over Blaise Kokkales of Adrian (Mich.)
  • Won a 16-6 major decision over Brady Schiffli of Manchester (Ind.)
  • Won a 10-3 decision over Oshea Phillips of Manchester (Ind.)
  • Won a 4-2 decision over freshman David Zambounis (Brecksville/Brecksville-Broadview Heights)
