No. 15 Men’s Wrestling Shuts Out Heidelberg for Second Straight Season

BEREA, Ohio – The No. 15 nationally ranked Baldwin Wallace University men's wrestling team shut out Heidelberg University in an Ohio Athletic Conference match by a final score of 43-0 in the Ursprung Gymnasium inside the Lou Higgins Center.
 
BW (3-0, 2-0 OAC) has now won 41 straight OAC matches, including 10 straight against Heidelberg (2-4, 0-2 OAC). 
 
The Yellow Jackets won all 10 matches.  
 
Match Results:
  • 125 pounds:            Freshman Dorian Hoffman (Luzerne, Pa./Wyoming Valley) won by pinfall in 3:00
  • 133 pounds:            Senior All-American and No. 2 nationally ranked Jaden Hinton (Glassboro, N.J.) won an 12-6 decision
  • 141 pounds:            Senior All-Ohio Athletic Conference, Academic All-OAC and No. 24 nationally ranked Robby Palmieri (Gibsonia, Pa./Pine Richland) won a 19-11 major decision
  • 149 pounds:            Junior Manny Scordos (Brecksville/Brecksville-Broadview Heights) won by forfeit
  • 157 pounds:            Senior All-American Michael Petrella (Reynoldsburg/Bishop Hartley), who is the two-time defending 149-pound champion, won a 17-4 major decision
  • 165 pounds:            Sophomore All-OAC and No. 6 nationally ranked Andrew Supers (Medina) won a 13-0 major decision
  • 174 pounds:            Senior All-OAC and No. 14 nationally ranked Carter Lloyd (Brecksville/Brecksville-Broadview Heights) won an 8-4 decision
  • 184 pounds:            Junior Remington Bauer (Norwalk/Edison) won a 14-3 major decision
  • 197 pounds:            Senior Academic All-OAC Joey Petrella (Reynoldsburg/Bishop Hartley) won a 20-4 technical fall
  • 285 pounds:            Sophomore Angelo Camargo (Brook Park/St. Ignatius) won a 11-3 major decision
BW is back in action on Saturday, December 14 when it travels to Naperville, Illinois to compete in the 60th North Central College Invitational in Residence Hall at 10 a.m.
