SARASOTA, Fla. – The Baldwin Wallace University men's and women's swimming and diving teams competed against Randolph-Macon (Va.) College as part of its annual winter break training trip at the Arlington Park Aquatic Complex.
Men's Results
- Senior All-Ohio Athletic Conference and Academic All-OAC stroker Tommie McQueary (Batavia/Bethel Park) won the 100-yard individual medley in a time of 54.60 and was second in the 50-yard butterfly in a time of 24.28
- Senior All-OAC stroker Austin Kingsley (Northport, N.Y.) took second in the 50-yard backstroke and the 200-yard freestyle in times of 26.27 and 1:52.60, respectively
- Senior stroker Jason Tafoya (El Paso, Texas) was fourth in the 50-yard breaststroke in a time of 29.97
- Senior stroker Luke Minick (Stow/Archbishop Hoban) was fifth in the 50-yard freestyle and the 100-yard freestyle in times of 23.50 and 53.06, respectively.
- The 200-yard medley relay squad of Kingsley, Tafoya, McQueary and Minick took second in a time of 1:41.42
- The 200-yard freestyle unit of Kingsley, sophomore stroker Ian Hochstetler (Doylestown/Wadsworth), junior stroker Tyler Warner (Mexico, N.Y./Mexico Academy) and freshman stroker Danny Murphy (Herndon, Va./South Lakes) took third in a time of 1:37.23
Women's Results
- Freshman freestyler Kate Harrington (Falls Church, Va./George C. Marshall) won the 50-yard freestyle in a time of 25.15 and was second in the 100-yard freestyle in a time of 57.25
- Senior All-OAC and Academic All-OAC stroker Mallory Dondorfer (Mentor) won the 100-yard individual medley in a time of 1:03.80 and was third in the 50-yard butterfly in a time of 28.07
- Freshman stroker Brooke Radcliffe (North Canton/Hoover) finished second in the 50-yard backstroke in a time of 29.70
- Sophomore stroker Ashley Slife (Westfield Center/Cloverleaf) was fifth in the 200-yard freestyle in a time of 2:12.90
- Freshman stroker Amelia Wands (East Amherst, N.Y./Williamsville North) was fifth in the 50-yard breaststroke in a time of 33.27
- The 200-yard medley relay squad of Radcliff, Wands, Dondorfer and Harrington took second in a time of 1:55.64
- The 200-yard freestyle unit of Radcliff, Dondorfer, Wands, and Harrington took second in a time of 1:45.28
The Yellow Jackets are now idle for the holidays. BW returns to action on Saturday, January 11 when it hosts a non-conference and Seniors' Day dual meet against Oberlin College in the BW Natatorium at 1 p.m.
