BEREA, Ohio – The Baldwin Wallace University men's and women's swimming and diving teams dropped a non-conference and Seniors' Day dual meet to Oberlin College in the BW Natatorium inside the Lou Higgins Center.
The BW men (6-2) fell to Oberlin by a final score of 165-126. The Yellow Jacket women (7-1) fell the Yeowomen by a final score of 172-128.
Prior to the meet, the University and the swimming and diving programs honored 10 senior student-athletes in All-Ohio Athletic Conference and Academic All-OAC stroker

Men's Individual Results:
- McQueary won the 50-yard butterfly, 100-yard butterfly and 100-yard individual medley in times of 23.30, 52.08 and 54.04, respectively
- Heisler won both 1-meter dive events with total points of 164.60 in the five-dive event and 271.95 in the six-dive event.
- Junior stroker Matias Cordero won the 50-yard backstroke and the 50-yard freestyle in times of 25.01 and 22.41, respectively and was second in the 100-yard freestyle in a time of 48.94
- Kingsley won the 100-yard backstroke in a time of 53.84 and was second in the 200-yard freestyle in a time of 1:46.78
- Sophomore stroker Michael Gruber (Sagamore Hills/Nordonia) was second in the 1000-yard freestyle in a time of 11:25.35
- Kielmeyer finished third in the 50-yard breaststroke in a time of 29.95
- Tafoya finished third in the 100-yard breaststroke in a time of 1:05.15
- Junior stroker/diver Tyler Warner (Mexico, N.Y./Mexico Academy) was fourth in the 500-yard freestyle in a time of 5:24.56
Men's Relay Results:
- The 200-yard medley unit of Kingsley, Tafoya, McQueary and Cordero took second in a time of 1:38.21
- The 200-yard freestyle squad of Kingsley, sophomore stroker Owen Rogonjic (Mentor), junior freestyler Kevin Meyer (Mentor) and Kielmeyer finished second in a time of 1:35.03
Women's Individual Results:
- Dondorfer won the 50-yard butterfly and 100-yard butterfly and in times of 27.95 and 1:01.92, respectively and was second in the 100-yard individual medley in a time of 1:03.37
- Sophomore All-OAC diver Ella Steen (Madison/Riverside) won the 1-meter and six-dive event with 239.55 total points.
- Freshman diver Makenna Mincey (Brunswick/Magnificat) won the 1-meter and five-dive event with 170.18 points.
- Freshman stroker Brooke Radcliffe (North Canton/Hoover) won the 50-yard backstroke in a time of 29.02 and was second in the 100-yard backstroke in a time of 1:03.97
- Sophomore All-OAC freestyler Melina Roberts (Westlake) was second in the 1000-yard freestyle in a time of 11:57.70
- Freshman stroker Amelia Wands (East Amherst, N.Y./Williamsville North) was second in the 50-yard freestyle and 100-yard freestyle in times of 25.87 and 58.31, respectively
- Sophomore stroker Abby Marquardt (Pickerington/Central) finished third in the 50-yard breaststroke and 100-yard breaststroke in times of 35.14 and 1:18.15, respectively
- Duguay finished third in the 500-yard freestyle in a time of 6:02.77
- Sophomore stroker Ashley Slife (Westfield Center/Cloverleaf) was fourth in the 200-yard freestyle in a time of 2:09.78
Women's Relay Results:
- The 200-yard medley squad of Radcliffe, Marquardt, Dondorfer and Wands took second in a time of 1:57.56
- The 200-yard freestyle unit of Wands, Slife, junior Academic All-OAC backstroker Ariel Lisy (Strongsville) and Radcliffe finished second in a time of 1:47.18
BW is back in action on Saturday, January 18 when it travels to Ada for an OAC dual match against Ohio Northern University inside the ONU Sports Center Natatorium at 1 p.m. The Yellow Jackets close out the regular season portion of their schedule on Friday, January 24 when they host an OAC dual meet against crosstown rival John Carroll University at 6 p.m.
