Men’s Swimming and Diving Sweeps Dual Meet with Bluffton and Heidelberg

TIFFIN, Ohio – The Baldwin Wallace University women's swimming and diving team swept a non-conference dual against Bluffton University and an Ohio Athletic Conference dual against Heidelberg University inside the Tiffin YMCA Natatorium.
 
BW improved to 6-1 overall and 2-1 in the OAC.  Bluffton fell to 0-7 overall and Heidelberg   fell to 0-4 overall and 0-2 OAC.
 
Individuals
  • Senior All-OAC and Academic All-OAC stroker Tommie McQueary (Batavia/Bethel Park) won the 200-yard freestyle and the 500-yard freestyle in a time of 1:51.61 and season-best mark 5:08.51, respectively
  • Senior All-OAC stroker Austin Kingsley (Northport, N.Y.) won the 100-yard backstroke in a season-best time of 54.70
  • Senior stroker Luke Minick (Stow/Archbishop Hoban) won the 50-yard freestyle in a season-best time of 23.78
  • Senior freestyler Erik Tagg (Pittsburgh, Pa./Chartiers Valley) won the 1000-yard freestyle in a time of 11:42.12
  • Junior Academic All-OAC freestyler Kevin Meyer (Mentor) won the 100-yard freestyle in a season-best time of 53.80
  • Junior stroker Nolan Szuch (Springboro) won the 200-yard individual medley in a time of 2:16.80
  • Sophomore stroker Owen Rogonjic (Mentor) won the 100-yard butterfly in a time of 59.78
  • Junior stroker Tyler Warner (Mexico, N.Y./Mexico Academy) took second in the 100-yard breaststroke in a time of 1:05.14
Relays
  • The 200-yard medley squad of sophomore stroker Michael Gruber (Sagamore Hills/Nordonia), senior Academic All-OAC stroker Jack Kielmeyer (Westerville/South), freshman stroker Danny Murphy (Herndon, Va./South Lakes) and Minick won in a time of 1:51.28
  • The 200-yard freestyle unit of Gruber, Warner, Meyer and freshman freestyler Mason Carnahan (Willard) won in a time of 1:34.79
The Yellow Jackets are back in action on Thursday, December 19 when they travel to Sarasota, Florida for a non-conference dual meet against Randolph-Macon (Va.) College at the Arlington Park Aquatic Complex at 4:30 p.m.
