FOSTORIA, Ohio – The Baldwin Wallace University women's golf team finished in eighth place at the Heidelberg University Fall Invitational at the Fostoria Country Club.
BW was eighth of 12 teams with 717 strokes on the par-72 and 5.807 yard Fostoria layout. Mount St. Joseph University was the champion with 623 strokes.
- Junior Academic All-OAC Alana Smith (Fremont/Ross) finished in 19th place as she rounds of 88 and a career-low 75 for a two round total of 163
- Senior Academic All-Ohio Athletic Conference Brooke Newsome (Clyde) carded rounds of 88 and 89 for a two day total of 177.
- Freshman Gillian Mitchell (Pittsburgh, Pa./Mount Lebanon) shot career-low rounds of 92 for a two round total of 184
- Junior Marissa Moriconi (Magnolia/Sandy Valley) tallied rounds of 97 and 96 for a two day total of 193
- Senior Chloe Thomas (Norwalk) had rounds of 112 and 101 for a two round total of 213.
The Yellow Jackets are back in action on Friday and Saturday, September 20 and 21 when they travel to Kansasville, Wisconsin to compete in the Midwest Region Classic hosted by Benedictine (Ill.) University at the Brighton Dale Golf Course.
