HARROD, Ohio – The Baldwin Wallace University women's golf team finished fifth at the Wilson Football Kickoff Classic hosted by Ohio Northern University at the Colonial Golfers Club.
BW was fifth of seventh teams with a two-round total of 726 stokes on the par-72 and 5,603-yard Colonial Golfers Club layout. Adrian (Mich.) College was the champion with 641 strokes.

- Senior Academic All-OAC Brooke Newsome (Clyde) finished ninth of 56 golfers as she fired rounds of 88 and a career-low 80 for a two-round total of 168
- Junior Academic All-OAC Alana Smith (Fremont/Ross) carded rounds of 91 and 85 for a two-day total of 176
- Junior Marissa Moriconi (Magnolia/Sandy Valley) shot rounds of a career-low 91 and 99 for a two-round total of 190
- Freshman Gillian Mitchell (Pittsburgh, Pa./Mount Lebanon) tallied identical rounds of 96 for a two-day total of 192
- Senior Chloe Thomas (Norwalk) had rounds of 112 and 109 for a two-round total of 221
Individuals
- Freshman Mia Whitt (North Royalton) shot rounds of 94 and 100 for a two-day total of 194.
- Freshman Jessie Herron (Tiffin/Columbian) played just the first round and tallied a 124
- Freshman Sabrina Crowley (North Ridgeville/Midview) played just the second round and had a 115
The Yellow Jackets are back in action on Friday and Saturday, September 13 and 14 when they travel to Fostoria to compete in the Heidelberg University Fall Invitational at the Fostoria Country Club.
