BEREA, Ohio – The Baldwin Wallace University men's basketball team fell to University of Mount Union in an Ohio Athletic Conference matchup by a final score of 94-64 in the Ursprung Gymnasium inside of the Lou Higgins Center.
BW Leaders (7-7, 3-4 OAC)
- Sophomore forward AJ Pestello (Cuyahoga Falls / Stow-Munroe Falls) led the way with 18 points, six rebounds, one assist and one steal
- Junior guard Myles Reynolds (Cleveland / St. Edward) tallied 10 points with three rebounds and two assists
Mount Union Leaders (9-5, 6-1 OAC)
- Senior guard Marcus Steele notched 20 points with four assists, three rebounds, one block and one steal
- Senior forward Christian Parker totaled 18 points with three rebounds, three blocks, one assist and one steal
First Half
- The Purple Raiders outscored the Yellow Jackets 51-26
- Mount Union won the three-pointer battle by a 7-5 margin
- The Purple Raiders provided the most assists with 11
Second Half
- Mount Union outscored BW 43-38
- The Brown and Gold had the most three-pointers with five total
- The Yellow Jackets had the most assists with 10
BW is back in action on Saturday, Jan. 18 as it hosts Marietta College in the second game of a men's and women's OAC doubleheader. The game is set to begin at 3 p.m. in the Ursprung Gymnasium inside the Lou Higgins Center.
