Mincey Sets Natatorium Record, Women’s Swimming and Diving Suffers First OAC Setback to John Carroll

BEREA, OHIO – Freshman diver Makenna Mincey (Brunswick/Magnificat) set the BW Natatorium record in the 1-meter and 11-dive event as the Baldwin Wallace University women's swimming and diving team suffered its first Ohio Athletic Conference setback as it dropped the 2024-25 season finale to crosstown rival John Carroll University by a final score of 167-76 in the BW Natatorium inside the Lou Higgins Center.

BW (8-2, 4-1 OAC) won two individual events.  John Carroll (6-3, 4-0 OAC) won nine individual events and both relays. 

Individuals
  • Mincey won both the 1-meter diving events with 197.18 and 285.50 points.  Mincey's combined points sets the BW Natatorium for 1-meter and 11-dives with 482.68
  • Senior All-OAC and Academic All-OAC stroker Mallory Dondorfer (Mentor) finished second in the 200-yard freestyle in a time of 2:02.97 and was third in the 200-yard butterfly in a time of 2:19.46
  • Freshman stroker Amelia Wanda (Buffalo, N.Y./Williamsville North) finished second in the 50-yard freestyle in a time of 25.54 and was third in the 100-yard freestyle in a time of 56.83
  • Freshman stroker Brooke Radcliffe (North Canton/Hoover) finished second in the 200-yard backstroke in a time of 2:17.88
  • Junior stroker Mallory Upcraft (Oswego, N.Y.) was third in the 400-yard individual medley and the 500-yard freestyle in times of 5:10.85 and 5:42.11, respectively.
  • Sophomore All-OAC freestyler Melina Roberts (Westlake) was third in the 1000-yard freestyle in a time of 11:53.94.
  • Sophomore stroker Abby Marquardt (Pickerington/Central) took fourth in the 200-yard breaststroke in a time of 2:43.65
Relays
  • The 200-yard medley relay unit of Radcliff, Marquardt, Dondorfer and Upcraft finished second in a time of 1:55.83
  • The 200-yard freestyle squad of Wands, junior Academic All-OAC freestyler Ariel Lisy (Strongsville), freshman freestyler Annalise Bolton (Berea/Berea-Midpark) and Radcliffe finished second in a time of 1:47.78
