Football Defeats Rose-Hulman (Ind.) in Inaugural Meeting

BEREA, Ohio – In its second non-conference game of the season, the Baldwin Wallace University football team defeated Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology (Ind.) in a non-conference game by a final score of 52-20 on the Tressel Field inside the George Finnie Stadium.

BW (5-1) won the inaugural meeting with Rose-Hulman (1-5).  This season, the Yellow Jackets, who are playing two non-conference games for the first time in years, have posted victories over teams from both the Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference (HCAC) and the North Coast Athletic Conference (NCAC).

BW Leaders
  • Junior All-Ohio Athletic Conference quarterback Charlie Bubonics (Solon) completed 16-of-22 passes for 232 yards with career-high six touchdowns.
  • Junior Academic All-OAC running back George Linberger (Barberton/St. Vincent-St. Mary) rushed for 115 yards, which was his sixth straight game of 100 yards or more, on 15 carries with one touchdown.
  • Senior All-OAC wide receiver Tim Conwell (Avon) caught five passes for 86 yards with two touchdowns.
  • Defensively, junior Academic All-OAC linebacker Nolan Hartsel (Lodi/Northwestern) had a career and game-high 19 tackles

  • Freshman quarterback Adam Yue completed 13-of-22 passes for 78 yards.
  • Junior Alexander Marsteller rushed for 95 yards on 23 carries with two touchdowns.
  • Sophomore wide receiver Drew Dalton caught six passes for 51 yards
  • Defensively, junior defensive back Antonio Barnes made 10 tackles
